Description

It provides:

  • a powerful N-dimensional array object
  • sophisticated (broadcasting) functions
  • tools for integrating C/C++ and Fortran code
  • useful linear algebra, Fourier transform, and random number capabilities
  • and much more

Besides its obvious scientific uses, NumPy can also be used as an efficient multi-dimensional container of generic data. Arbitrary data-types can be defined. This allows NumPy to seamlessly and speedily integrate with a wide variety of databases.

All NumPy wheels distributed on PyPI are BSD licensed.

To install Intel optimized NumPy Pypi package please use following command:

python -m pip install --index-url https://pypi.anaconda.org/intel/simple --extra-index-url https://pypi.org/simple numpy

If command above installs NumPy package from the Pypi, then you will need to explicitly install the wheel package using the wheel URL found on the following page:

https://anaconda.org/intel/numpy/files?type=pypi

Once the wheel URL has been copied, please append it to the following command to install Intel optimized NumPy wheel package from Anaconda Cloud:

python -m pip install --index-url https://pypi.anaconda.org/intel/simple --extra-index-url https://pypi.org/simple <numpy wheel URL>

Where <numpy wheel URL> should be a URL to the numpy wheel package you want to install (e.g. https://anaconda.org/intel/numpy/1.22.3/download/numpy-1.22.3-0-cp39-cp39-manylinux2014_x86_64.whl installs numpy 1.22.3 for Python 3.9 in a Linux environment)
