r-geometry
|
public |
Makes the 'Qhull' library <http://www.qhull.org> available in R, in a similar manner as in Octave and MATLAB. Qhull computes convex hulls, Delaunay triangulations, halfspace intersections about a point, Voronoi diagrams, furthest-site Delaunay triangulations, and furthest-site Voronoi diagrams. It runs in 2D, 3D, 4D, and higher dimensions. It implements the Quickhull algorithm for computing the convex hull. Qhull does not support constrained Delaunay triangulations, or mesh generation of non-convex objects, but the package does include some R functions that allow for this.

r-geojsonr
|
public |
Includes functions for processing GeoJson objects <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeoJSON> relying on 'RFC 7946' <https://tools.ietf.org/pdf/rfc7946.pdf>. The geojson encoding is based on 'json11', a tiny JSON library for 'C++11' <https://github.com/dropbox/json11>. Furthermore, the source code is exported in R through the 'Rcpp' and 'RcppArmadillo' packages.

r-geodist
|
public |
Dependency-free, ultra fast calculation of geodesic distances. Includes the reference nanometre-accuracy geodesic distances of Karney (2013) <doi:10.1007/s00190-012-0578-z>, as used by the 'sf' package, as well as Haversine and Vincenty distances. Default distance measure is the "Mapbox cheap ruler" which is generally more accurate than Haversine or Vincenty for distances out to a few hundred kilometres, and is considerably faster. The main function accepts one or two inputs in almost any generic rectangular form, and returns either matrices of pairwise distances, or vectors of sequential distances.

It is designed as an integrated package for genetic data analysis of both population and family data. Currently, it contains functions for sample size calculations of both population-based and family-based designs, probability of familial disease aggregation, kinship calculation, statistics in linkage analysis, and association analysis involving genetic markers including haplotype analysis with or without environmental covariates.

r-gamlss.dist
|
public |
A set of distributions which can be used for modelling the response variables in Generalized Additive Models for Location Scale and Shape, Rigby and Stasinopoulos (2005), <doi:10.1111/j.1467-9876.2005.00510.x>. The distributions can be continuous, discrete or mixed distributions. Extra distributions can be created, by transforming, any continuous distribution defined on the real line, to a distribution defined on ranges 0 to infinity or 0 to 1, by using a ''log'' or a ''logit' transformation respectively.

r-gam
|
public |
Functions for fitting and working with generalized additive models, as described in chapter 7 of "Statistical Models in S" (Chambers and Hastie (eds), 1991), and "Generalized Additive Models" (Hastie and Tibshirani, 1990).

r-ga
|
public |
Flexible general-purpose toolbox implementing genetic algorithms (GAs) for stochastic optimisation. Binary, real-valued, and permutation representations are available to optimize a fitness function, i.e. a function provided by users depending on their objective function. Several genetic operators are available and can be combined to explore the best settings for the current task. Furthermore, users can define new genetic operators and easily evaluate their performances. Local search using general-purpose optimisation algorithms can be applied stochastically to exploit interesting regions. GAs can be run sequentially or in parallel, using an explicit master-slave parallelisation or a coarse-grain islands approach.

Unlike other tools that dynamically link to the 'Cairo' stack, 'freetypeharfbuzz' is statically linked to specific versions of the 'FreeType' and 'harfbuzz' libraries (2.9 and 1.7.6 respectively). This ensures deterministic computation of text box extents for situations where reproducible results are crucial (for instance unit tests of graphics).
