r-spdep public A collection of functions to create spatial weights matrix objects from polygon 'contiguities', from point patterns by distance and tessellations, for summarizing these objects, and for permitting their use in spatial data analysis, including regional aggregation by minimum spanning tree; a collection of tests for spatial 'autocorrelation', including global 'Morans I' and 'Gearys C' proposed by 'Cliff' and 'Ord' (1973, ISBN: 0850860369) and (1981, ISBN: 0850860814), 'Hubert/Mantel' general cross product statistic, Empirical Bayes estimates and 'Assunção/Reis' (1999) <doi:10.1002/(SICI)1097-0258(19990830)18:16%3C2147::AID-SIM179%3E3.0.CO;2-I> Index, 'Getis/Ord' G ('Getis' and 'Ord' 1992) <doi:10.1111/j.1538-4632.1992.tb00261.x> and multicoloured join count statistics, 'APLE' ('Li 'et al.' ) <doi:10.1111/j.1538-4632.2007.00708.x>, local 'Moran's I' ('Anselin' 1995) <doi:10.1111/j.1538-4632.1995.tb00338.x> and 'Getis/Ord' G ('Ord' and 'Getis' 1995) <doi:10.1111/j.1538-4632.1995.tb00912.x>, 'saddlepoint' approximations ('Tiefelsdorf' 2002) <doi:10.1111/j.1538-4632.2002.tb01084.x> and exact tests for global and local 'Moran's I' ('Bivand et al.' 2009) <doi:10.1016/j.csda.2008.07.021> and 'LOSH' local indicators of spatial heteroscedasticity ('Ord' and 'Getis') <doi:10.1007/s00168-011-0492-y>. The implementation of most of the measures is described in 'Bivand' and 'Wong' (2018) <doi:10.1007/s11749-018-0599-x>. 'spdep' >= 1.1-1 corresponds to 'spatialreg' >= 1.1-1, in which the model fitting functions are deprecated and pass through to 'spatialreg', but will mask those in 'spatialreg'. From versions 1.2-1, the functions will be made defunct in 'spdep'. For now 'spatialreg' only has functions from 'spdep', where they are shown as deprecated. 'spatialreg' only loads the namespace of 'spdep'; if you attach 'spdep', the same functions in the other package will be masked. Some feed through adequately, others do not. 2025-03-25
r-sf public Support for simple features, a standardized way to encode spatial vector data. Binds to 'GDAL' for reading and writing data, to 'GEOS' for geometrical operations, and to 'PROJ' for projection conversions and datum transformations. 2025-03-25
r-rgdal public Provides bindings to the 'Geospatial' Data Abstraction Library ('GDAL') (>= 1.11.4) and access to projection/transformation operations from the 'PROJ.4' library. The 'GDAL' and 'PROJ.4' libraries are external to the package, and, when installing the package from source, must be correctly installed first. From 'rgdal' 1.4.1, provision is made for 'PROJ6' accommodation, with 'PROJ6' functionality to follow; from 1.4.1 'rgdal' will build and function when 'PROJ' >= 6. Both 'GDAL' raster and 'OGR' vector map data can be imported into R, and 'GDAL' raster data and 'OGR' vector data exported. Use is made of classes defined in the 'sp' package. Windows and Mac Intel OS X binaries (including 'GDAL', 'PROJ.4' and 'Expat') are provided on 'CRAN'. 2025-03-25
r-qpdf public Content-preserving transformations transformations of PDF files such as split, combine, and compress. This package interfaces directly to the 'qpdf' C++ API and does not require any command line utilities. Note that 'qpdf' does not read actual content from PDF files: to extract text and data you need the 'pdftools' package. 2025-03-25
r-osmdata public Download and import of 'OpenStreetMap' ('OSM') data as 'sf' or 'sp' objects. 'OSM' data are extracted from the 'Overpass' web server and processed with very fast 'C++' routines for return to 'R'. 2025-03-25
r-lwgeom public Access to selected functions found in 'liblwgeom' <https://github.com/postgis/postgis/tree/svn-trunk/liblwgeom>, the light-weight geometry library used by 'PostGIS' <http://postgis.net/>. 2025-03-25
r-openssl public Bindings to OpenSSL libssl and libcrypto, plus custom SSH key parsers. Supports RSA, DSA and EC curves P-256, P-384, P-521, and curve25519. Cryptographic signatures can either be created and verified manually or via x509 certificates. AES can be used in cbc, ctr or gcm mode for symmetric encryption; RSA for asymmetric (public key) encryption or EC for Diffie Hellman. High-level envelope functions combine RSA and AES for encrypting arbitrary sized data. Other utilities include key generators, hash functions (md5, sha1, sha256, etc), base64 encoder, a secure random number generator, and 'bignum' math methods for manually performing crypto calculations on large multibyte integers. 2025-03-25
r-dodgr public Distances on dual-weighted directed graphs using priority-queue shortest paths (Padgham (2019) <doi:10.32866/6945>). Weighted directed graphs have weights from A to B which may differ from those from B to A. Dual-weighted directed graphs have two sets of such weights. A canonical example is a street network to be used for routing in which routes are calculated by weighting distances according to the type of way and mode of transport, yet lengths of routes must be calculated from direct distances. 2025-03-25
r-covr public Track and report code coverage for your package and (optionally) upload the results to a coverage service like 'Codecov' <http://codecov.io> or 'Coveralls' <http://coveralls.io>. Code coverage is a measure of the amount of code being exercised by a set of tests. It is an indirect measure of test quality and completeness. This package is compatible with any testing methodology or framework and tracks coverage of both R code and compiled C/C++/FORTRAN code. 2025-03-25
r-askpass public Cross-platform utilities for prompting the user for credentials or a passphrase, for example to authenticate with a server or read a protected key. Includes native programs for MacOS and Windows, hence no 'tcltk' is required. Password entry can be invoked in two different ways: directly from R via the askpass() function, or indirectly as password-entry back-end for 'ssh-agent' or 'git-credential' via the SSH_ASKPASS and GIT_ASKPASS environment variables. Thereby the user can be prompted for credentials or a passphrase if needed when R calls out to git or ssh. 2025-03-25
r-uplift public An integrated package for building and testing uplift models 2025-03-25
r-textclean public Tools to clean and process text. Tools are geared at checking for substrings that are not optimal for analysis and replacing or removing them (normalizing) with more analysis friendly substrings (see Sproat, Black, Chen, Kumar, Ostendorf, & Richards (2001) <doi:10.1006/csla.2001.0169>) or extracting them into new variables. For example, emoticons are often used in text but not always easily handled by analysis algorithms. The replace_emoticon() function replaces emoticons with word equivalents. 2025-03-25
r-systemfit public Econometric estimation of simultaneous systems of linear and nonlinear equations using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), Weighted Least Squares (WLS), Seemingly Unrelated Regressions (SUR), Two-Stage Least Squares (2SLS), Weighted Two-Stage Least Squares (W2SLS), and Three-Stage Least Squares (3SLS). 2025-03-25
r-sjstats public Collection of convenient functions for common statistical computations, which are not directly provided by R's base or stats packages. This package aims at providing, first, shortcuts for statistical measures, which otherwise could only be calculated with additional effort (like standard errors or root mean squared errors). Second, these shortcut functions are generic (if appropriate), and can be applied not only to vectors, but also to other objects as well (e.g., the Coefficient of Variation can be computed for vectors, linear models, or linear mixed models; the r2()-function returns the r-squared value for 'lm', 'glm', 'merMod' and other model objects). The focus of most functions lies on summary statistics or fit measures for regression models, including generalized linear models, mixed effects models and Bayesian models. However, some of the functions also deal with other statistical measures, like Cronbach's Alpha, Cramer's V, Phi etc. 2025-03-25
r-rcmdrmisc public Various statistical, graphics, and data-management functions used by the Rcmdr package in the R Commander GUI for R. 2025-03-25
