r-rxode2ll
|
public |
Provides the log-likelihoods with gradients from 'stan' (Carpenter et al (2015), <arXiv:1509.07164>) needed for generalized log-likelihood estimation in 'nlmixr2' (Fidler et al (2019) <doi:10.1002/psp4.12445>). This is split of to reduce computational burden of recompiling 'rxode2' (Wang, Hallow and James (2016) <doi:10.1002/psp4.12052>) which runs the 'nlmixr2' models during estimation.

Facilitates treatment of statistical model specifications as things that can be generated and manipulated programmatically. Structural equation models may be specified with reticular action model matrices or paths, linear structural relations matrices or paths, or directly in matrix algebra. Fit functions include full information maximum likelihood, maximum likelihood, and weighted least squares. Example models include confirmatory factor, multiple group, mixture distribution, categorical threshold, modern test theory, differential equations, state space, and many others. MacOS users can download the most up-to-date package binaries from <http://openmx.ssri.psu.edu>. See Neale, Hunter, Pritikin, Zahery, Brick, Kirkpatrick, Estabrook, Bates, Maes, & Boker (2016) <doi:10.1007/s11336-014-9435-8>.

r-gdalcubes
|
public |
Processing collections of Earth observation images as on-demand multispectral, multitemporal raster data cubes. Users define cubes by spatiotemporal extent, resolution, and spatial reference system and let 'gdalcubes' automatically apply cropping, reprojection, and resampling using the 'Geospatial Data Abstraction Library' ('GDAL'). Implemented functions on data cubes include reduction over space and time, applying arithmetic expressions on pixel band values, moving window aggregates over time, filtering by space, time, bands, and predicates on pixel values, exporting data cubes as 'netCDF' or 'GeoTIFF' files, and plotting. The package implements lazy evaluation and multithreading. All computational parts are implemented in C++, linking to the 'GDAL', 'netCDF', 'CURL', and 'SQLite' libraries. See Appel and Pebesma (2019) <doi:10.3390/data4030092> for further details.

Lambert W x F distributions are a generalized framework to analyze skewed, heavy-tailed data. It is based on an input/output system, where the output random variable (RV) Y is a non-linearly transformed version of an input RV X ~ F with similar properties as X, but slightly skewed (heavy-tailed). The transformed RV Y has a Lambert W x F distribution. This package contains functions to model and analyze skewed, heavy-tailed data the Lambert Way: simulate random samples, estimate parameters, compute quantiles, and plot/ print results nicely. Probably the most important function is 'Gaussianize', which works similarly to 'scale', but actually makes the data Gaussian. A do-it-yourself toolkit allows users to define their own Lambert W x 'MyFavoriteDistribution' and use it in their analysis right away.
