boast gathers reach metrics -- downloads, citations, GitHub stars, and field-standing percentiles -- for a research tool or paper across Code, Downloads, Citations, and Attention categories, from a curated set of pluggable providers (GitHub, crates.io, PyPI, Homebrew, Bioconda, OpenAlex, Crossref, Dimensions, Europe PMC, Wikipedia, and Altmetric). It records them in a durable, timestamped Snapshot with full provenance, and renders grant-ready Reports (terminal, Markdown, and an auto-written prose sentence) -- built for evidence-backed, reproducible statements about a tool's impact, such as in a grant proposal.
